Definition of Frozen Foods
Leave a message
Frozen foods constitute a food category classified based on storage and transport temperatures; specifically, "refrigerated foods" refer to products stored, transported, and sold at temperatures below 8°C but above their freezing point, whereas "frozen foods" require storage, transport, and sale at temperatures of -18°C or lower.
In accordance with the Regulations for the Implementation of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China and relevant documents issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation, my country has established a filing system for cold storage and freezing services for food products. This system mandates that entities not directly engaged in food production or business operations must file their cold storage services with market regulatory authorities, while also clearly delineating the safety responsibilities shared between food producers/operators and cold storage service providers. Within the distribution phase, government regulations prioritize the procurement of goods transported via a complete cold chain and strictly enforce categorized storage standards to prevent cross-contamination. Through intensified routine supervision, inspections, and the rigorous investigation and punishment of violations, regulatory authorities are constructing a comprehensive quality and safety assurance system spanning the entire supply chain for frozen foods.
